Made in Canada - Eco Friendly Plant Based Protein

I’ve been using this 21g plant protein for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed! It’s packed with BCAAs and 6.9g of Glutamine, which has been great for my muscle recovery and endurance after workouts. I’ve definitely noticed less soreness and more energy, which is always a win.
One of the best things about this protein is how smooth it mixes. No more gritty or chalky texture like some other plant proteins I’ve tried. The shake is clean with a delicious vanilla taste, making it easy to incorporate into my routine.
I also love that it’s made from upcycled brewer’s spent grains, so it’s helping to reduce food waste. The plant-based, plastic-negative and carbon-neutral packaging gives it an extra eco friendly bonus. It's great knowing my protein choice is making a positive environmental impact.
The fact that it’s naturally sweetened with organic cane sugar and monk fruit means there are no artificial ingredients. Plus, it’s dairy, soy, and nut-free, so it's safe for people with sensitivities. Made in Canada and rigorously third-party tested for purity, I feel confident in the quality of this protein. Overall, this has been a fantastic addition to my routine, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, effective plant-based protein!

The Perfect Plant Protein for Any Lifestyle

Finding a high-quality plant-based protein powder that delivers on both taste and nutrition isn’t always easy, but this one stands out. With 21g of plant protein per serving, it provides a clean and efficient source of protein without unnecessary fillers. At just 100 calories per serving and lightly sweetened with organic cane sugar (3g per serving), it’s a great option for anyone looking to add more protein to their diet without compromising on quality.

One of the best things about this powder is its ultra-smooth texture. Unlike many plant-based options that can be gritty or chalky, this one blend effortlessly into water or plant-based milk for a silky, enjoyable drink. No lumps, no strange aftertaste—just a clean, great-tasting shake every time.

What really sets it apart is its sustainability. Made from upcycled brewer’s spent grains, it helps reduce food waste while supporting an eco-friendlier production process. Even the packaging is environmentally conscious, being plastic-negative, carbon-neutral, and fully recyclable. If you're mindful of sustainability, this is a product you can feel good about using.

Manufactured in Canada and third-party tested, this protein powder is free from dairy, soy, and nuts, ensuring high quality and purity. The rigorous testing process guarantees a safe and reliable product, which adds peace of mind when making it part of your daily routine.

Overall, this is an excellent plant-based protein powder that’s easy to mix, great-tasting, and made with sustainability in mind. It’s simple to incorporate into a daily routine—just add it to milk or almond milk, throw in some fruit, blend it up, and enjoy. My son loves having it in the mornings, and even though we’re not a vegetarian or vegan household, we genuinely enjoy this product and highly recommend it. At $43 CAD per bag ($2.15 per serving), it’s a solid investment in a high-quality, trustworthy protein source. Plus, it’s made in Kelowna, BC—another reason to feel good about supporting it!

Interesting protein powder that mixes well

I'm new to vegan protein and I can say that I am hooked. It dissolves so easy and no messy clumping. I'm surprised that there's so much protein in a small cup (1/3), it provided 24g, unlike regular protein powders where the scoops sometimes are big. The vanilla flavor is not too strong and it makes it taste like a regular shake. A wonderful alternative to whey, though a bit more pricey.

Dairy, Soy, Nut Free but Not Gluten Free

The ingredient in the Freshfield Vegan Protein Powder is barley rice, that's all. The barley comes from brewer's spent grains, which is typically disposed of in composting or as livestock feed. Since it's high in protein, the use as protein powder is a great use for something that would typically be considered food waste. The powder is finely ground, making it easy to smoothly mix into a variety of liquids. It's also unflavored; if mixed with water, you can taste a slight malted flavor but otherwise it truly has no flavor. Overall, this is a very good way to add protein to your diet, especially if you don't want any added sweeteners or you dislike the typical protein powder flavors. The product is good for vegans, vegetarians, those who need to avoid nuts, soy, or dairy, but it is not safe for those who need a gluten-free diet.

Tastes Great but A Little Too Sweet

This Freshfield Vegan Protein Powder has a lot going for it. It comes in a zipper-sealed bag, which is easy to operate and keeps the protein powder fresh. Barley rice is the main ingredient and provides a good amount of protein. This dissolves fairly well although I did need to press the back of the spoon against the side of the glass to incorporate the powder a bit. The vanilla flavor is pleasant, although very sweet due to the addition of cane sugar and monk fruit. I believe one of these would be sufficient. The instructions say to add 5 1/2 tablespoons of powder to 8 1/2 ounces of water or plant-based milk, but I could only add half the amount of powder due to the sweetness. I don't consume much sugar, so this tasted very sweet to me. I like using a tablespoon or so on my morning soy yogurt/fruit/granola combo and it's delicious. I did experience some bloating which is common for me when using monk fruit with added xylitol or erythritol. I'm not sure if this monk fruit includes that or not. I like that there is no plastic scoop because I have others from other protein powders, and it's easy to measure with tablespoons. I'm impressed that this Canadian company is conscious of the environment and the carbon footprint of its products and that it has third-party testing. This is a good vegan protein powder.
