Freshfield is Certified Plastic Negative but we know this isn't enough to help eliminate plastic waste. We are working to have Freshfield switched to 100% compostable packaging by the end of 2022.

In the meantime, we've provided some advice below on how to properly dispose of your Freshfield packaging.

What is Certified Plastic Negative?

HDPE

All our products except Vegan Omega 3 use HDPE packaging. HDPE is one of the easiest plastic polymers to recycle and is accepted by most recycling facility worldwide.

To recycle: Remove and discard label. Ensure inside of container is clean. Add packaging to your regular recycling pickup or take to your nearest recycling facility.

PET

Our Vegan Omega 3 and Black Seed Oil Capsules use PET bottles. PET is the also used for water and pop bottles. Next to HDPE, it is the most recyclable plastics in use today.

To recycle: Remove and discard label. Ensure inside of container is clean. Add packaging to your regular recycling pickup or take to your nearest recycling facility.

GLASS

Black Seed Oil and B-12 Drops are packaged in glass to preserve the quality of the liquid inside.

To recycle: Remove and discard label. Ensure inside of container is clean. Add packaging to your regular recycling pickup or take to your nearest recycling facility.

Next Steps to Zero

Compostable refill packs! These packs will be made with bio-based PLA and are certified to compost in an industrial facility. We searched for home compostable packaging but this is not currently available for food products and supplements. These packs will compost at home but it will just take longer than usual.
